Cast of Characters Ideal cast size is 10...however the show can be performed with as few as 5 (if one role is double-casted) and as many as your stage can accommodate, depending on the size of your ensemble. Joe Madson: (Romantic lead and narrator for this story) An all-round nice guy who was extremely shy in high school. Lacey Turner: (Romantic lead, fellow student at St. Peter’s High School) An attractive and sweet young girl who serves as Joe's love interest. Jerry Landis: (Joe’s best friend in high school) Likeable and funny comedic lead. Sally: (Lacey’s girlfriend in high school) Likeable and funny comedic lead. *George Madson: (Joe’s father) Extremely likeable and caring father with a real soft side. *Father DeJoseph: (Head of the high school choral group) Stern but likeable adult figure. Ensemble (4 - ?): Two males and two females (must be able to sing and dance) Piano Player in Restaurant : This is a fun part that can be played by one of the ensemble performers or by a local celebrity. (For example, the Philadelphia production featured several well-know local newscasters and a college basketball coach.)
